Posted On: 09/04/2026 Excellent hygienist, took extra effort to remove stubborn tarter and made sure I was doing okay throughout the cleaning process. Also, I am scheduled for surgery next week and they squeezed me in at the last minute. Very accommodating and caring! Highly recommend Idaho Falls Dental for all your dental needs. I hadn't been to the dentist in 5 years because of poor experiences, looks like I'll be going back more regularly now. Dr. Rhees is the one to ask for if you need work done. He's one of those dentists that actually listens and cares about your concerns, and is honest about what needs to be taken care of now vs what should be on the radar for the future. Posted On: 08/23/2026 Double check with your dental insurance when this office tells you that your procedure covers more then it actually does. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
My husband and I went over the paperwork many times with the insurance gal that works here. We both kept asking if they were sure, they guaranteed us it was accurate on what is covered by this particular insurance.
Agreed to the approximate amount. Gave a big down payment. Rushed in, had a portion of the work done. I was shocked with a huge bill they assured was 65-70% covered for the entire procedure. Off by thousands of dollars. Not sure how you can do business like that. I'm not saying it's a scam to get you locked in, but it sure feels like it is.

Posted On: 08/19/2026 IFDG is saving my teeth and my genuine smile! I used to go to a really good dentist in Rexburg, I live in IF now and so I can’t keep traveling to Rexburg. I went to another dentist in IF who tried to making an extremely expensive plan that involved replacing most of my teeth with fake ones. It felt off because I felt like my teeth just needed a few cavities filled and a wisdom tooth removed. Plus I only get $1000 a year from insurance benefits.. so I got a 2nd opinion with IFDG who was able to get a plan drawn up after my 1st visit involving filling my cavities and removing my wisdom tooth. Exactly what I wanted! They’re really efficient too, they’ll have you in and out quickly without sacrificing quality. The cost is $1000’s less than the other place plus I keep the integrity of my mouth by keeping my original teeth. Give Dr Thompson at IFDG a chance and he’ll help you too! Posted On: 08/18/2026 Dr. Scoresby is an excellent dentist and patiently explained the procedure to me (root canal) - so far so good after finishing up this morning. My previous dentist did not use a 3-d X-ray on me and misdiagnosed my problem. This is my second experience with Dr. Scoresby, as he previously fixed a front tooth chip for me. Posted On: 07/24/2026 Went in for an extraction. I have long roots, which was a possible concern. Dr. Thompson got it with no problems! He is the man to see in a comfortable environment, where questions are answered and every step is explained in detail. Staff is very accomodating and no stone is left unturned.
